This week’s #MeetTISB Features Mr. Leonard & Mr. Lynden - One of the first few faces we see every morning on campus.

Both Mr. Lynden & Mr. Leonard has been an integral part of TISB for many many years. Born & brought up in Bangalore they completed their studies here and have garnered much experience in their fields. Mr. Lynden was an Apprentice Steward at The Taj Bangalore for a year.

Q & A Time!

What is the best thing about being in TISB?

Mr. Lynden: Presently my role now is Receptionist & Guest Relations Executive and every day is a thrill. It's a joy being amongst children in different age groups from various countries and cities in India. Meeting parents and guests at the Reception and making them feel welcomed is an entirely different experience compared to the Hotel hospitality. Overall it’s a joy to be a part of TISB!

Mr. Leonard: Each working day is filled with a positive and encouraging environment and everyone smiling and greeting each other.

What is your favorite song at the moment

Mr. Leonard: Take me Home by - John Denver

What will the storybook of your life be titled?

Mr. Lynden: “Journey through TOTS & TEENS with TISB”

What is the funniest question a student asked you?

Mr. Lynden: How old are you? Are you Immortal?

Which is your favorite spot-on campus

Mr. Leonard: Turf football Ground & Opposite JBIH

Tell us an Interesting fact about you

Mr. Lynden: I joined TISB in 2016 as a Boarding House Parent / Front Desk Reception, and assisting /learning in College Counselling Administrative work. Working as a Boarding House Parent is a beautiful experience to mix around getting to know children who tend to be different in their own kind of way. I did a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Technical Institute during the day while in the evenings I worked at Chung Wah as Waiter/Order Taker/Cashier to support my parents financially. However….did not end up being an Engineer…ha ha ha.

Create a new word and an example of it’s use

Mr. Lynden: “ TISBIAN “ - When students graduate they should go out not as citizens of their own country but as citizens of the world “ TISBIAN “.

What one piece of advice for students?

Mr. Lynden: Education is important but also good character, integrity, respect for all races/caste/religion, being kind, compassionate and generous to the poor – will make a person a good Leader. In life if needed to go one-step backward, ensure to take two steps forward.

Mr. Leonard: Work to your best potential, & respect towards others.

What’s your favorite school lunch?

Mr. Leonard: Tuesday's Lunch & Dessert

How will students remember me?

Mr. Lynden: I think by comparing me to Mr. Bean?

Thank you Mr. Leonard & Mr. Lynden!
